The F. M. Kirby Foundation is pleased to welcome a new team member. David Cucchiara has joined the organization as a Communications and Program Associate, effective June 25th.
David joins the Foundation with experience in both nonprofit development and strategic communications. After beginning his career in journalism, David spent six years with Wakefern Food Corporation as a Supervisor of Digital Advertising and Content Creation, growing brand awareness and managing digital campaigns. Most recently, David served as the Director of Development at the Sourland Conservancy. In this role, David was responsible for increasing organizational revenue, growing business partnerships, and fostering community relationships. Upon joining the Foundation, David will oversee Public Affairs, Religion, and Mutual Membership Benefit funding, as well as manage the Foundation’s internal and external communications.
“Having worked in nonprofit development, David understands the resources and support that mission-focused organizations require to truly thrive. This experience will allow him to serve as a thoughtful and compassionate steward of the Foundation’s nonprofit partnerships,” said Justin Kiczek, President of the Foundation.
“As the Foundation continuously strives to celebrate our grantee partners, David’s varied communications expertise will prove valuable in uplifting the dedicated individuals whose work is making our communities stronger and healthier,” said Laura Horton Virkler, Chair of the Board.
