The F. M. Kirby Foundation is pleased to welcome Sarah DeMartazzi as its new Grants Administrator, effective June 23, 2025. Sarah brings a wealth of experience in grants management and nonprofit operations, which will further strengthen the Foundation’s administrative capacity and support its philanthropic mission.

“We are thrilled to have Sarah join our team,” Justin Kiczek, President of the Foundation, said. “In naming our next Grants Administrator, we were seeking someone who could advance our systems and processes, while also being sensitive to the challenges and opportunities for our grantees. I have no doubt Sarah’s experience will only help to deepen the Foundation’s long-standing partnerships.”

Prior to joining the Foundation, Sarah served as Program Manager at the Henry Luce Foundation, where she co-led the development of grantmaking strategies across multiple program areas, including initiatives supporting women in STEM. Her work included managing day-to-day operations, overseeing support staff, and convening academic and networking events to foster collaboration among students, professors, and grantees. In her earlier role as Program Assistant, she led engagement efforts with grantees and aligned proposal and reporting materials with strategic program goals.

Sarah’s career has been marked by a deep commitment to effective philanthropy and community building. She previously worked at the PCLB Foundation, where she maintained grantee records, managed reporting processes, and assisted with technical support for applicants. She also brings legal research experience from Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP and served as co-chair of Philanthropy New York’s PACNET, a professional network for grants managers and coordinators.

Sarah holds a master’s degree in politics from The New School for Social Research and a bachelor’s degree in international politics and environmental inquiry from Penn State University. She currently resides in Whippany, NJ.

“I’m very excited to be joining the team at the F. M. Kirby Foundation,” DeMartazzi said. “As a resident of the Morristown area, it’s deeply important to me to support the local community. The Foundation’s commitment to our community resonates with my own goals, and I look forward to working with such a talented group of people.”

The Foundation is excited to welcome Sarah to the team and looks forward to the expertise and care she will bring to supporting its grantees and advancing its mission.
