The F. M. Kirby Foundation is proud to highlight 10 years of continuous partnership with the Eastern Environmental Law Center of Newark, New Jersey. Founded in 1993, EELC is a not-for-profit, public-interest environmental law firm that works pro bono on behalf of environmental advocacy, conservation, and community groups to achieve environmental justice, implement clean-energy solutions, and preserve the region’s open space, wildlife, and natural resources for generations to come. Through their representation of national and state environmental advocacy organizations and local community groups, EELC supports its clients with a broader understanding of and passion for the critical issues facing NJ and the region.
The EELC has recently centered its efforts on environmental justice, open space and sustainable development, and clean energy, particularly in environmentally sensitive areas, including the Highlands, Pinelands, and Barnegat Bay. To further support this advocacy work and change, EELC keeps the public updated and involved through regular news feed and sharing of its cases.
We are so honored to support the incredible work of EELC and its passionate and smart dedication to environmental justice and protection of all those who benefit from access to and enjoyment of safe, healthy environments.
