The F. M. Kirby Foundation is proud to celebrate more than a decade of partnership with EDGE New Jersey, a Morris County–based organization dedicated to advancing healthy and authentic living for the HIV+ and LGBTQ+ communities. Rooted in the region for more than 30 years, EDGE New Jersey serves youth, adults, and families throughout the state by providing public health strategies, supportive services, housing opportunities, behavioral healthcare, and education. The organization responds compassionately and responsibly to healthcare inequities and societal stigma that disproportionately impact the wellbeing and dignity of marginalized populations.
EDGE New Jersey’s comprehensive public health services provide free, accessible, stigma-free sexual health and harm reduction resources, including walk-in PrEP consultations, HIV testing, referral care, and assistance with insurance and financial support programs. With more than 1,200 HIV tests provided annually and serving over 1,600 members each year, EDGE New Jersey plays a critical role in promoting prevention, early detection, and access to life-saving treatment. Their support services ensure individuals have access to personalized care management, service planning, residential services, and transportation assistance.
Beyond medical care, EDGE New Jersey offers behavioral health services including professional one-on-one counseling in a safe and supportive environment, as well as weekly in-person support groups for the LGBTQ+ community. The organization’s on-site Community Center provides an inclusive space where members can connect and find support, while signature events like the Morris County Pride Festival, New Jersey AIDS Walk, and community gatherings bring people together to celebrate diversity and build solidarity.
The F. M. Kirby Foundation is honored to support EDGE New Jersey’s vision of a future where every person can live a healthy and authentic life in a community that celebrates their diversity, dismantles discrimination, and promotes healthcare equity for all.
