The F. M. Kirby Foundation is proud to celebrate 55 consecutive years of partnership with the New Jersey Conservation Foundation. For more than 60 years, NJ Conservation has worked to protect the state’s most precious natural resources — from the Highlands to the Pine Barrens. NJ Conservation focuses on preserving land and advancing environmental stewardship practices to ensure that future generations can enjoy New Jersey’s diverse landscapes and ecosystems.
NJ Conservation has preserved over 140,000 acres of farmland, forests, and open space across the state. This includes safeguarding critical habitats for wildlife, protecting drinking water sources, and creating opportunities for outdoor recreation. The foundation also leads efforts to address climate change by advocating for renewable energy, preserving forests that sequester carbon, and restoring degraded wetlands.
In addition to land conservation, NJ Conservation engages communities through educational programs, nature walks, and partnerships that promote environmental stewardship. Its advocacy initiatives work to shape policies that protect the environment and ensure equitable access to green spaces for all New Jersey residents.
The F. M. Kirby Foundation supports NJ Conservation’s mission to preserve land, protect the environment, and inspire a connection to nature. Through this partnership, we work towards a more sustainable future for New Jersey.
